Actual Street Food Makes it to the Neighborhood

This guy with a hot dog cart keeps popping up in front of The Independent on busy nights, presumably to sell foot-longs to Umphreys McGee/STS9 Bros. Last night he was out slinging tube steaks to all the people who rolled in to catch the NCAA Championship/Fantastic Mr. Fox. (Sidenote: Yes, please, on more sporting events at the Independent.) Judging from his careful distance from the door, he’s probably not associated with the venue.

Anyway, not counting the Kung Fu Taco Truck at Candybar on Tuesdays and Thursdays, this is the closest we’ve got to street Street Food, ya know?
