Target Pop-Up Store Projecting Commercials on Fell St.

We’ve seen some pretty weird marketing efforts in San Francisco before, but this is a new one to me at least. That Target-to-Go seasonal pop-up store opening in Mint Plaza that CurbedSF reported on has some little elves setting up an LCD projector in the parking lot of the Chevron at Fell and Masonic. The “commercial” (if you want to call it that) plays out more like a giant web banner ad projected on the side of the apartment building so drivers on Masonic can read it.

My guess is they’re going after the Pac Heights 30-something crowd as they commute home in their Mini Coopers

A couple more (admittedly crappy) photos on: the AggressivePanhandler flickr stream
