Scenes from a Vintage IndieMart
by Andrew Dalton on October 26, 2009In case you didn’t make it over to Workshop for the last minute (but by no means hurried) IndieMart vintage event yesterday, here’s some shots of what you missed.
There wasn’t a whole lot for three dudes having a lazy Sunday to browse on the racks, but I did leave with a new (old) shirt and a “reclaimed” denim beer coozie hand-sewn on the spot. Plus they had a sweet little living room occupying the broad sidewalk on Baker that was perfect for an afternoon of hanging out with the neighbors.
And if you haven’t checked out the calendar of classes at Workshop yet, you most certainly should. I’m bummed I missed the Bloody Mary Workshop, but I was probably having a personal Bloody Mary cram session anyway. There’s still time to get in on the Punk Rock Pumpkins class this Wednesday or the Thursday night Ping Pong league and just think how many cute neighborhood girls you could be meeting at Sewing 101.

jie: please do not use violent language if you are accusing someone of doing just that. The term you used to refer to this girl (whom I am not defending) is one that is loaded and, akin to swastikas, a symbol of intolerance and hatred. As a Jewish woman, I find both incredibly offensive and hurtful. Yes: my family was killed the Holocaust, and I have women in my family who were killed because of their genders (as women). So please, think a bit more before you speak. Thanks. - please...
